In an official announcement on 29 June 2022, Sunderland AFC, a professional English football club, announced its partnership with Spreadex ahead of the 2022-2023 season.

The details published by Sunderland AFC show that the Spreadex Sports logo will appear on the home and away shirts of the club until the summer of 2025 as part of the three-year deal. Moreover, Spreadex and Sunderland AFC are planning to work together on a broad range of community and charity-based initiatives.
“We are overjoyed to be partnering with Sunderland AFC at such an exciting time for the Club after their promotion back to the Championship. At Spreadex, we have also seen strong recent results as we continue to grow as a company, and we look forward to working closely with SAFC, and their fans and community partners, during this long-term deal,” David MacKenzie, the CEO of Spreadex, commented.
“One initiative we will be introducing immediately is a pledge to donate £100 to the Clubs designated charity for every home goal scored by the Black Cats throughout the upcoming season. We will also be looking to launch other charity initiatives in the coming months,” MacKenzie added.
Spreadex has been operating since 1999. The UK-based company has over 150 employees at its St Albans headquarters. In November 2021, Spreadex posted its results for the financial year ended 31 May 2021. The companys turnover touched £69.2 million and net profit came in at £28.5 million.

The latest sponsorship deal with Sunderland AFC will allow Spreadex to expand its global reach through a wide range of advertising tools.
SAFCs Chief Operating Officer, Steve Davison, said: “We are all delighted to welcome Spreadex as our new Principal Partner and look forward to building our relationship with them throughout the next three years. It is set to be an extremely exciting campaign for the Club as we return to the Championship and this partnership will also support communities within the City of Sunderland through a range of innovative initiatives.”
